Entry requirements and application

The course is designed for university graduates in Law, Criminology, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Social Science, Public Policy and other relevant disciplines. It is also suited to professionals working in governmental institutions, local authorities, international and non-governmental organizations, and wishing to specialize in the topics addressed by the course.

Candidates must have a very good working knowledge of English.

The modular structure of the programme will allow participants to attend weekly courses on specific topics aimed at deepen knowledge of the extent and implications of global threats to justice, peace and security. Participants to one or more training sessions will be accepted pending evaluation of their eligibility.

Deadline for applications for each single module is 10 days before the beginning of the course.

Deadline for application to the entire nine-week specialized training is 27 August 2017.

Please attach to the application form a scanned copy of your passport together with your latest CV.

Fees

Registration Fees for the 9-week training is 5,000 euros.

The cost of each module is 1,000 euros.

Fee Exemptions

A limited number of fee exemptions may be available. Please indicate and motivate your request of fee exemption by e-mail.

Cancellation policy

UNICRI reserves the right to cancel the course due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be notified by 13 September 2017 of any change to the course. If UNICRI must cancel the course, all participants will be reimbursed for course fees. UNICRI will not be liable for any loss, including travel and accommodation costs suffered by or on behalf of any person who wished to attend the course.

Certificate of participation

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive UNICRI certificate of participation to the specialized training.

Those attending one or more modules will receive the certificates related to the specific topics addressed.

Venue

UNICRI - United Nations Campus in Turin (Italy), Viale Maestri del Lavoro 10, 10127 Turin. Due to limted space, classes may be held in a variety of buildings in Turin.

Applicants requiring VISA

Applicants requiring study VISA are responsible for obtaining the Visa. You are encouraged to do the following:

  • Submit an early application (kindly note that it may take up to 90 days to receive a VISA from an Italian Embassy or Consulate).
  • Liaise with the local Italian Diplomatic Office to gather accurate information on the time needed to finalize the VISA process.
